Blair Archibald begun his debut MBFWA show with a video from his winning Woolmark Prize collection. He discussed his process, and the passion that he has for the engineering and process behind each garment. Blair’s talent in tailoring has been evident since his early collections, but it was exciting to see a larger collection this season that allowed for the silhouettes to be developed further in different textiles. The outerwear pieces have a cross over appeal for both genders, and this season Blair included several female models in the show.
There was a military influence evident in the brand’s signature workwear aesthetic with this collection, and this carried through to the color palette; a timeless mix of French navy, khaki and burgundy.
Both male and female models had fresh skin with a gloss finish under the eyes. The hair, directed by Melvin Royce-Lane, had a soft wavy texture with a dewy finish.
