Music duo Client Liaison are renowned for their vibrant 80’s fashion aesthetic, displayed on stage in their custom made costumes and also in their everyday clothing. The first fashion collection from Monte Morgan and Harvey Miller AO was showcased in a runway show at the Overseas Passenger Terminal overlooking Sydney Harbour and the iconic Opera House. 30 male and female models showcased the Resort collection, entering from two office lifts onto a red dirt covered runway. The designers were ‘inspired by archive resort footage of Christopher and Pixie Skase by Rennie Ellis, long late lunches and classic Australian flora and fauna.’ Hero pieces included the printed linen jumpsuits and suiting, however the whole collection is infectiously wearable and will no doubt be the uniform for many young festival goers come Summer 2019. The show was finished with a live performance from Client Liaison. The production value of this event was world class, and a very impressive effort for a first collection.

The makeup was directed by Nicole Thompson and the look was inspired by Brooke Shields for the girls. Peach and golden tones were used throughout, either on the eyes or cheeks. Some models also wore a peachy orange lip. For the boys, skin was fresh and slightly bronzed. Curl and volume were the key elements in the hair directed by Renya Xydis. Different silhouettes were designed for individual models, but the overall look was big, 80’s inspired and lots of fun.
